Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a light-weight power-driven booster that can control an injection process while removing required physical labor by providing a syringe detachably connected to a pistol-shaped casing and equipped with a liquid-tight piston inside, and a means to drive the piston in the syringe. CONSTITUTION: A butterfly-shaped needle 13 is attached to a syringe 12 through a lure connector 50, and a power-driven booster 10 and the syringe 12 are assembled with a handle 18 and triggers 20a and 20b like a pistol. After liquid is filled in the syringe and the butterfly-shaped needle 13 is attached, the power- driven booster 10 is kept upright till air is expelled out of the syringe 12 and the butterfly-shaped needle 13 with the piston 48 advanced by the trigger-shaped switches 20a and 20b. The butterfly-shaped needle 13 is inserted into an injection position of a patient after removing the protector while the power-driven booster 10 is held with the grasped handle 18, then the motor is driven by pushing the switch 20b to advance the piston 48 at a constant speed.
