PURPOSE: To increase a heat generating temperature to enable a fast ignition to be carried out by a method wherein a plurality of heat generating members having a fine wire of material added with rare earth metal to iron-chromium- aluminum alloy wound in a helical form are arranged in parallel and installed on an electrical insulating ring.
CONSTITUTION: Resistors 20 are connected in parallel to form a heater. A series- connected circuit having a light emitting diode 6 and an adjusting resistor 8 is connected in parallel with the heater and further connected to a power source comprised of battery cells 2 through a switch 7. The resistors 20 are constructed such that rare earth metal, preferably yttrium is added to iron-chromium- aluminium alloy and a fine wire made of this alloy is applied as its material and this wire is wound in a coil form. The resistors 20 contain aluminium which is oxidized at its high temperature. An oxidation film is formed at the surface of this resistor, so that its coil-formation enables its close winding to be attained and the resistor can reach the high temperature fast. An electrical insulating ring is mounted at an outer circumference of the heater causes ignition flame not to be displaced to one side and then a smooth ignition can be attained.
