Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the corrosion of devices, jigs, etc., by gaseous chlorine and the leakage of the gaseous chlorine and to improve productivity by way of higher stability of operation and higher reaction efficiency.

CONSTITUTION: The temp. of the molten metal bismuth in a melting furnace is measured by immersing a thermocouple thermometer with a protective tube made of borosilicate glass. Chlorine is blown at 25 to 25 liter/min through a blowing pipe made of borosilicate glass immersed into the bath when the measured temp. is 530 to 560°C.
