Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inhibit yellowing due to overbaking of a coating film formed from a polyvinyl chloride plastisol compsn.
CONSTITUTION: The plastisol compsn. contains a polyvinyl chloride resin, a plasticizer, a filler, a tackifier comprising a blocked isocyanate and a polyamide in a ratio of the isocyanate equivalent of the former to the amine equivalent of the latter of (5:1)-(4:1), and a zinc-based stabilizer in an amt. of 1.0-2.0wt.% based on the compsn. Yellowing due to overbaking of a coating film formed from the compsn. is inhibited by the synergistic effects of the isocyanate which captures a free amine and the stabilizer which captures hydrogen chloride.
