Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a membrane which exhibits a slight albumin loss, maintains the constant loss in a wide range of ultrafiltration rate and has high permeability to β2-microglobulin.

CONSTITUTION: The dialysis membrane made of cellulose acetate or a cellulose acetate derivative in the form of a hollow fiber with a through internal cavity has a maximum sieving coefficient of 0.04 for albumin with a molecular weight of 68,000.
