PURPOSE: To prevent blown-up powder from leakage to the outside of a mixing device while enabling the conveyance through a piping by swirling water in a mixing tank and constituting the bottom of an outer tube to generate an ejector action.
CONSTITUTION: A mixing tank 1 is provided in an outer tube 2 and powders are charged from an upper ash charging pipe 10, while water is supplied eccentrically horizontally from a water supply pipe 3 to produce a swire current in the mixing tank 1, mix ash with water for producing slurry and jetting it from a jet pipe 4 and discharge it from a discharging pipe of an outer tube bottom. Air near an intake port 5 is drawn in the force of the jetted slurry to be ejected from a slurry ejecting pipe 8 together with the slurry. Thus, air amount in a chamber 6 is reduced to produce negative pressure in the chamber 6. Hence, ash blown up in the air is sucked together to prevent the periphery of the mixing tank 1 from station. Also, the slurry is obtained on the spot, so that it can be conveyed through a piping to reduce the conveying cost.
