Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent unstableness of an air-fuel ratio, in a system where an air control valve is provided on a passage which penetrates an intermediate housing and is communicated to the operating chamber of each cylinder, by providing a means by which opening operation of the air control valve is relaxed. CONSTITUTION:In a serial two cylinder rotary engine, a communicating passage 12 is formed in an intermediate housing 3 which is located between two rotor housings 2a and 2b, and in the position closed by rotors 6a, 6b a set value later than that for intake ports 7a, 7b opened on both side surfaces of the housing 3. And communicating state is repeated through this communicating passage 12 between the operating chamber during the compression process of a cylinder 5a (5b) and the operating chamber during intake process of the cylinder 5a (5b). In addition, an air flow control valve 13 is provided in the communicating passage 12, and it is opened/closed by a diaphragm type actuator 14 for responding to an intake pipe negative pressure, and a negative pressure delay valve 16 is interposed in the pressure leading passage toward a negative pressure chamber.
