PLASTIC HALF-SPLIT CHOPSTICKS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH067236
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To joint a part of the end separably to increase the productive efficiency by simultaneously extruding to mold a pair of bars made of synthetic resin as a raw material and by the mutual joint due to swelling under the half-molton condition right after the extrusion.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of bars 1, 1' having a square or circular lateral section made of synthetic resin, a thermoplastic resin like polystyrene for instance, as a raw material are simultaneously and parallelly extruded for their molding. The mutual opposite faces 2, 2' are jointed to each other by the span as long as 1-5cm as a continuous unit 3 as the swelling of the synthetic resin under the half-molton condition right after the extrusion. Coarse faces 4, 4' with stripes are molded in the longitudinal direction at the same time for prevention of slip. The joint 3 is divided on use. In this way, half-slip chopsticks having the same shape and material feeling as wooden ones can be made efficiently and inexpensively.
