Abstract:

To provide a nanotube which has insulating properties, and whose utilization to a field emission type transistor and a microelectronic circuit is expected.

The boron/carbon/nitrogen nanotube whose surface layer is coated with boron nitride is obtained by bringing a grain-oriented CNx(0<X≤0.1) nanotube into reaction with a powdery combination of boron oxide and copper oxide at a high temperature in a nitrogen atmosphere.
