Abstract:

To obtain a nap cloth excellent in elastic property and water absorption in its piled surface, also having a gross not available in the cotton, a soft hand touch and a good respectable appearance, and capable of being suitably used for bedclothes such as a coverlet for next to skin, towel blanket or blanket.

This nap cloth A knitted or woven by using an optional knitting or weaving means and formed with a pile 2 on at least one side surface, is formed by using a cotton yarn (a) and another cellulosic fiber (b) as pile yarns and combined knitting or weaving these both yarns (a), (b) to form a pile surface, or knitting or weaving by using a mixed spun fiber yarn of the cotton with the other cellulosic fiber as the pile yarn. In any of the cases of the combined knitting or weaving, or the use of the mixed spun yarn, the ratio of the cotton to cellulosic fiber on the pile surface is preferably 50-90% cotton to 50-10% cellulosic fiber.
