Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural color fading preventive agent which is derived from barley, is inexpensive and has an excellent effect of preventing color fading by making it possible efficiently to acquire barley extract from the barley amply contg. components, such as vegetable fibers, polyphenyl compd., with which physiological activity is expected.
SOLUTION: This natural color fading preventive agent derived from the barley contains the hydrophilic solvent extract from the barley. This hydrophilic solvent is hydrous ethanol, methanol, hydrous methanol and hydrous acetone. An extraction source is bran of a segment of a yield of 70 to 90% which occurs at the time of grain polishing of the barley.
