Abstract:

To provide a navigation system capable of searching a route by selecting an appropriate road, when such a target facility as can be accessed through both a pay road and an open road is set.

The control part 10 of a navigation system 1 determines whether a destination that has been set by a user, based on a point information database, or the like, can be accessed through both a pay road and an open road. If the destination is such a point as can be accessed through both of them, a guide route is selected, based on a search condition or a route that has been actually searched.
