PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery using a graphite-based material, and facilitating the deposition.SOLUTION: A negative electrode material for lithium ion secondary battery contains partial peeling flake graphite, obtained by thermally decomposing the resin in a composition where the resin is fixed to graphite or a primary flake graphite, and having such a structure as the graphene is peeled partially, and a binder resin.
