Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for making it possible to obtain a negative electrode 12 that has large power storage capacity and inhibits the power storage capacity from being reduced by repetition of charging and discharging.SOLUTION: A negative electrode material includes matrices composed of metal glass containing Fe or Ni; and Si primary phases distributed to the matrices. In the Si primary phases, each Si crystallite size is 20nm or less. The Si primary phases contain one type or two or more types selected from a group consisting of Ge, Al and B. The total percentage content of Ge, Al and B in the negative electrode material is equal to or higher than 0.01 mass.% and equal to or lower than 5.0 mass.%. A ratio of the Si primary phases in the negative electrode material is equal to or higher than 20 mass.% and equal to or lower than 80 mass.%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
