To provide a negative electrode capable of suppressing volumetric changes caused by charging and discharging.SOLUTION: Provided is a negative electrode used in an all-solid lithium ion battery. The negative electrode comprises: a negative electrode layer containing a Si-based active material; and a negative electrode collector for collecting electricity from the negative electrode layer. The negative electrode layer internally has metal foil containing a Li element.
