Abstract:
PURPOSE: To inject a required volume of medicine into a required depth by adjusting the volume and the pressure of compressed gas for driving a syringe piston to control the medicine injection depth and controlling the volume of medicine to be injected by the stroke length of the piston. CONSTITUTION: This hand-holding syringe 40 is loaded with medicine by a medicine carrier 16 with an appropriate volume of medicine in it. An interlock coupling 24 and/or a release valve 22 is adjusted to be a prescribed negative pressure interlock level. Then when a prescribed negative pressure in the release valve 22 is detected by a negative pressure sensor 8, gas is let out of a chamber 6. At the time, the pressure of the operation gas is controlled by a pressure controller 4, and the volume of the operation gas is controlled by the variable volume chamber 6. The variable stroke length of the piston 20 is adjusted according to the decision of the position of a stopper 26, and the piston rod 25 and the plug 12 can be movable in the length depending on the position of the stopper 26. Therefore, a standard volume of medicine will be injected into the tissue from the medicine carrier 16.
