Abstract:
To provide an efficient technique for switching multicast traffic between a comprehensive tunnel of a comprehensive route and a selective tunnel according to tracking of a multicast receiver.SOLUTION: A first network device starts a first route to identify a tunnel for carrying traffic for multicast and designates a leaf information requirement for multicast. It starts a second route and tracks a plurality of receivers of multicast on the basis of leaf information received from the multicast receivers responding to the leaf information requirement designated for the second route. Multicast traffic is switched between a comprehensive tunnel and a selective tunnel according to track of the multicast receivers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
