Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manage a network matched with the actual network configuration.
CONSTITUTION: A network management equipment 6 is provided with a command packet generating section 61 generating a command packet for automatic recognition of the configuration of HUB in cascade connection and a return packet analysis section 62 analyzing a return packet returned from the HUB in response to the command packet. Thus, the cascade configuration among a master HUB 1, slave HUBs 2, 3 and sub-slave HUBs 4, 5 is grasped by the network management device 6.
