PURPOSE: To load a neuclear fuel pellet without damaging a barrier on the inner wall face of a covered tube even when the pellet is hard by supporting the covered tube whose one end is welded with a terminal cap and the other end is opened so as to be rotated and loading the neuclear fuel pellet to a rotating pellet aligning board.

CONSTITUTION: In the neuclear fuel pellet loading device 17, the covered tube 11 whose one end is fixed with the terminal cap 12 and the other end is opened is previously prepared. The covered tube 11 is horizontally supported by a supporting board 19 and a rotational driving board 30 so that the terminal cap 12 is engaged with a stopper 20 and the opened end part is opposed to the V groove 21 of a delivering device 22. Then, the neuclear fuel pellet 14 is aligned in the V groove 21 of the pellet aligning board 22. When a rotational driving device on a rotational driving board 30 is rotated, the covered tube 11 is rotated at 2 to 10 rotations/sec rotational speed. At that time a feeding rod of the delivering device 22 is operated and the pellet 14 is delivered from the opened end part of the tube 11 in the tube axis direction at 100 to 500mm/ sec speed.
