Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a neural net having a physical topology unrelated with a function topology.
CONSTITUTION: Cells SYNI-SYNP being the function equivalence of a synapse are connected so that a single directional data path can be formed. Those SYNI-SYNP are connected to buses 21 and 23 for individual control or parallel control. The output value of each synapse contributing to a neuron potential is individually calculated in each related cell. Each cell in a cell chain adds the output value to data received from the previous cell, and the sum is supplied to the next cell or turned transparent. The assignment of the synapse to the cell is preferably made programmable.
