Abstract:
PURPOSE: To uses a mass-storage, inexpensive dynamic memory and realize a fast access mode by converting access to the memory into access to successive addresses in both forward and backward directions.
CONSTITUTION: The simulator consists of a data storage means 8 including forward and backward link coupling strength storage means 3 and 5, a data input/output and arithmetic means 20, a data access mode control means 21, a data access control means 22, and an operation mode control means 23, and a specific connection method and data structure are employed. Consequently, although the mass-storage, inexpensive dynamic memory is used, fast neural network simulation is performed equally to a static memory.
