Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a neural processor provided with a neural calculation means for normalizing input data relating to another input data.
CONSTITUTION: This neural processor executes division for dividing X by Y so as to decide a quotient Q. A calculation means is programmed so as to perform calculation (30) by the repetition of a series of contributions ΔQ, used (NQ, RQ) so as to update a partial quotient QP and the updating of the partial quotient QP becomes the quotient Q at the end of calculation. The calculation is executed on an optional arithmetic base and the arithmetic base decides the number of neurons to be utilized and the accuracy of the calculation. A partial residue RP can be utilized as well. Several programming modes are presented.
