To obtain the subject new compounds showing no anti-inflammatory activity and useful as a non-morphine analgesic substance.
The compounds are shown by formula I (R1 is an alkyl, alkenyl or the like; W is 2-(4-phenylpiperazin-1-yl)-1-hydroxyethyl or the like; and Y is O or the like), e.g. 3-methyl-6-acetyloxazolo[4,5-b]pyridin-2(3H)-one. The compounds of the formula I are obtained by reacting compounds of formula II (R'1 is the same as R1 except H) with an unsaturated ether of the formula AlK-O-CH=CH-R'2 (R'2 is H or an 1-5C alkyl) in the presence of 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane and palladium acetate. The compounds do not show an ulceration activity and interference in coagulation processes and effective for various diseases such as rheumatic algies, lombosciatic neuralgies, cervicobrachial neuralgies, traumatic algies, post-operative pain and dental pain.
