Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new cholesterol oxidase excellent in thermal stability.
CONSTITUTION: This new cholesterol oxidase is obtained by newly adding an amino acid residue to an N-terminal part of an amino acid sequence of a cholesterol oxidase produced by Streptomyces.sp. SA-COO and has 100% cholesterol oxidase activity under heated conditions at pH7.0 and 50°C for 15min. Furthermore, a method for producing this new cholesterol oxidase is provided.
