Abstract:
To provide a new compound that can be used as a prodrug suitable for the targeted therapy for cancer and has its water solubility so improved as for the compound to be efficiently delivered to a target site, and a probe for diagnostic imaging for a hypoxic disease such as cancer.
A functional section and a controlling section are bonded via a linker portion having a structure for improving water solubility. For the controlling section, a unit to separate selectively in a cell under a hypoxic condition such as a cancer cell is used, and for the functional section, an anticancer agent, a probe for diagnostic imaging or the like is used.
