To obtain new crystal of 4-[6-[N-isobutyl-N-(4-methyl-2-thiazolylsulfonyl)amino]indan-5-yloxymethyl]benzoic acid.
New D crystal of 4-[6-[N-isobutyl-N-(4-methyl-2-thiazolylsulfonyl)amino]indan-5-yloxymethyl]benzoic acid represented by formula (I) and its nontoxic are obtained. D crystal of the compound of formula (I) useful as medicines (PGE2, EP1 antagonist) is supplied as a stable crystal always having the same qualities. The compound of formula (I) has high solubility and is useful as a therapeutic agent and/or a prophylactic for pain, fever, pollakisuria, urinary incontinence, lower urinary tract infection, cancer, depression, liver diseases, etc.
