Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A (4-alkylphenyl)phenyldihalosilane shown by formula I (R is 3-8C straight-chain alkyl; X1 and X2 are halogen).
EXAMPLE: (4-Butylphenyl)phenyldihalosilane.
USE: A raw material for an organopolysilane having excellent photoconductivity and resist characteristics, a raw material for silicone and a silylating agent.
PREPARATION: A phenyltrihalosilane shown by formula II is reacted with a 4-alkylphenylmagnesium halogenide compound shown by formula III (R' is R) or a 4-alkylphenyllithium compound shown by formula IV (R'' is R) in a solvent in an inert gas atmosphere.
