PURPOSE: To provide new pirazole carboxamides maintaining high acaricidal activity and showing surprisingly high insecticidal activity.
CONSTITUTION: The carboxamides are 5-pirazole carboxylic acid amide base compds. of formula I [where R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl or benzyl; R2 is H or 1-4C alkyl; Rx is H, Cl, F, Br, 1-4C alkyl, haloalkyl or, together with R2, the group of formula II (R is H or 1-2C alkyl; n is 1 or 2); R3-R5 are H or 1-4C alkyl; X1-X4 are H, Cl, F or Br; Ry is 3-6C haloalkoxyalkoxy, 3-6C haloalkoxyalkylthio, 3-6C haloalkylthio, 2-6C haloalkenyl or 3-6C haloalkoxyhaloalkenyl] for example, N-[3-chloro-4-(2-trifluoromethoxy-1,1,2-trifluoroethoy)benzyl]-4-chloro-3-ethyl-1- methylpyrazole-5-carboxamide. The compds. are obtained by reacting the compds. of formula III (Z is Cl, Br, OH or alkoxy) with benzylamine of formula IV.
