Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a smooth work to discharge lubrication oil in an oil pan regardless of a kind of a machine on which an engine is mounted.
SOLUTION: One oil drain port 3 is formed in the rear end part 5 of an oil pan 1 and one oil drain port 4 is formed in the right side 7 of the oil pan 1. The oil pan 1 is attached on the lower side of the cylinder block 2. Lubrication oil in the oil pan 1 is drained through the oil drain ports 3 and 4. Further, by mounting the oil pan on the cylinder block 2 in a state to change the longitudinal direction of the oil pan 1, the drain ports 3 and 4 are positioned on the front side and the left side, respectively, of the oil pan 1.
