PURPOSE: To obtain an exact quantitative analysis value by using a nitrogen compd. decomposing agent which consists essentially of the hydrate of an alkali metal and contains boric acid or borate.
CONSTITUTION: The decomposition of nitrogen compds. is accelerated and the stable analysis value is obtd. by using the nitrogen compd. decomposing agent which consists essentially of the hydroxide of the alkali metal such as sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide and contains the boric acid or borate such as Li2B4O7 anhydride.
