To improve productivity of noble metal colloid particles by eliminating a cleaning process for removing an excessive reducing agent or the like and provide the noble metal colloid particles having low sintering temperature and high colloidal coloring.
A method for manufacturing the noble metal colloid particles include: a first step in which noble metal salt 2 is converted to a protective colloid state and is extracted as the noble metal colloid particles 6 in a nonaqueous organic solvent phase by mixing and heating noble metal-containing solution including water 1, the noble metal salt 2, a nonaqueous organic solvent 3, and a reducing agent 4 working as protective colloids 10; a second step of separating the nonaqueous organic solvent phase from an aqueous phase; and a third step of obtaining the noble metal colloid particles 6 from the nonaqueous organic solvent phase.
