Abstract:

To solve the problem that a noise reducing device becomes large-sized and complicated and is therefore is difficult to incorporate into consumer electrical appliance products since the noise reducing device needs to have two filters and two resonance chambers.

The noise reducing device is equipped with a noise reduction plate 11 which is provided nearby a noise source 5 and arranged opposite the noise source 5 and a plurality of acoustothermal transducing holes 12 which are bored in the noise reduction plate 11 and transduce acoustic energy into thermal energy; and each acoustothermal transducing hole 12 has a storage chamber 13 which is provided on the side of the noise source 5 and has a 1st hole width and an expansion chamber 14 which is provided on the opposite side from the noise source 5 and has a 2nd hole width larger than the 1st hole width.
