Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent icing without sacrifice of noise elimination in a noise suppressor which is used in the exhaust port of an air actuator for driving a reciprocating pump. CONSTITUTION:A nois supporessing plate 12 and a spacer 13 are fitted into the inside of a ring housing 11 to be engaged by a stopper 14 at the inner periphery of the housing 11. A threaded part 15 which is set at the exhaust port of an air actuator is provided on one side of the housing 11 to provide an air outlet side opening 16 inside the threaded part 15. An air outlet side opening 17 open to the atmosphere is provided on the other side of the housing 11. The plate body 21 of the noise suppressing plate 12 is formed in a flexible disc of approximately 2mm thick tetrafluoroethylene. Slits 22 are provided radially from the center of the plate body 21 to from a movable piece 23 between respective slits 22. Each time exhaust is made, the tip end of the movable piece 23 between the respective slits is made more flexible on the air outlet side opening 17 side and the slits 22 are enlarged so that icing can be prevented.
