Title:
NON-CONTACT IC CARD AND ELECTROLYTE MATERIAL FOR DISPLAY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000322549
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an IC card which performs a display function with small power and also can maintain its display for a long time.

An IC 2 is fixed onto a substrate 1. A working electrode 5 for display, a counter electrode 6, power supply terminals 2A for the IC 2 and lead wires 3 connecting these electrodes are formed on the substrate 1 by screen printing. A mixture of a high polymer electrolyte gel and an electrometric material having a triphenylmethane structure is formed in a film shape so as to cover the electrodes 5 and 6 to obtain a display element 4. The color of element 4 is changed by small power supplied from the IC 2 to perform display. Even though power supply is stopped, the display can be maintained for a long time.
