Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of preventing deterioration of a storage part constituted with memory cells from occurring.SOLUTION: A nonvolatile memory includes a storage part constituted with a plurality of memory cells which memorize consumption data concerning the consumption of printing material stored in a cartridge, a memory control part which receives a write command from a printing device every time the consumption of the printing material reaches a predetermined consumption standard value or more and thereby executes a writing operation of the consumption data in the storage part, and a register which memorizes the number of retry times of the writing operation in response to the write command. The consumption standard value is set so as to be increased with an increase in the number of the retry times.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
