Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, having high energy density, a high output, low capacity drop even when charging and discharging are repeated, and excellent in cycle characteristics.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 includes: a positive electrode 4 containing an electrode active material; a negative electrode 6; and an electrolyte 9 interposed between the positive electrode 4 and the negative electrode 6. The electrolyte 9 contains deuterated solvent containing heavy hydrogen, which is a stable isotope of a hydrogen atom, in higher concentration than a natural abundance ratio.
