Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery arranged so that gas generated when charge and discharge is repeated can be absorbed, and an outer sheath can be prevented from being swelled.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: an internal power-generation body 8 including a positive electrode including a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode including a negative electrode active material, and a separator interposed between the positive and negative electrodes; at least two metal tab leads 14 connected to the positive and negative electrodes respectively; and a film-like outer sheath 10 which houses the internal power-generation body 8 together with an electrolytic solution 20 of nonaqueous electrolyte in a hermetic condition. The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery further comprises a resin part 26 used to prevent the short circuit inside the battery and provided between the outer sheath 10 and the internal power-generation body 8. The resin part 26 has a gas-absorbing material such as a hydrogen-absorbable alloy mixed therein.
