To improve the storage characteristic and the cycle characteristic of a secondary battery by providing a positive electrode, a negative electrode using lithium as an active material, a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a positive electrode battery jar consisting of an aluminum alloy containing a specific ratio of iron or cobalt.
An aluminum alloy contains 0.01-5 wt.% of iron or cobalt. Preferably, a solute of a nonaqueous electrolyte is one or more kinds of substances selected from among lithium trifluoromethanesulfonate, lithium, etc., hexafluorophosphate, lithium tetrafluoroborate, lithium hexafluoroarsenate, and lithium hexafluoroantimonate, a positive electrode is made of a manganese oxide or cobalt oxide, a positive electrode collector is made of an aluminum alloy containing iron or cobalt, and a negative electrode is made of lithium metal of a lithium storing-dischargeable alloy, an oxide, or carbonaceous material.
