Title:
NONHUMAN CHIMERA CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2718596
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nonhuman chimera mammal which is obtained by transplanting cells or tissues other than normal hemopoietic cells derived from a mammal M3 to a mammal M1 that is substituted by hemopoietic cells derived from a mammal M2, and has nonhuman chimera cells stable over a long period.
CONSTITUTION: The objective nonhuman chimera mammal M4 used for stably supplying the objective nonhuman chimera cells, is obtained by: treating a nonhuman mammal M1 (ordinary mouse) so as to substantially destroy its immunity system; transplanting tissues or cells (such as human malignant tumor cells) other than normal hemopoietic cells derived from a mammal M3 (human being) to the treated nonhuman mammal M1; and further transplanting hemopoietic cells derived from a mammal M2 (such as serious complex immunodeficiency syndrome mouse) that is a species other than the mammal M3 and determined as a genetically hemopoietic-cell-deficient mammal, to the resulting nonhuman mammal M1.
