Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject emulsifying agent having excellent still standing stability and storage stability and useful as a road-paving material, waterproofing adhesive material, material for the laying of railway, fuel, etc., by using a specific nonionic emulsifier as a component.
SOLUTION: The objective emulsifying agent is produced by including a nonionic emulsifier of the formula (R is an 8-22C alkyl or alkenyl; X is 0-40; Y is 1-10; and Z is 1-80). An O/W-type asphalt emulsion is produced by mixing the emulsifying agent with water and an asphalt such as straight asphalt, cutback asphalt, blown asphalt, semi-blown asphalt, modified asphalt, natural bitumen or regenerated asphalt.
