Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject compound useful for a rheology control agent or the like excellent in water solubility and water dispersibility and composed of a specific compound.
CONSTITUTION: The targeted compound of the formula [Y is a hydrophilic polyhydroxyalkyl; X is -CO-, -NHCO-, -NHCS-, or -SO2-; R is a (substituted) alkyl or (substituted) aryl; n is 2 to 6; m is 2 to 4] composed of an N,N'-bis(2- gluconamidoethyl)-N,N'-bisnonanoylethylenediamine or the like is obtained. Photographic materials are obtained by allowing to contain a support having one or more layers composed of hydrophillic colloid or the compound in upper part.
