Title:
NONMAGNETIC MN-NI STEEL WITH SUPERIOR STRESS CORROSION CRACKING RESISTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5726146
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nonmagnetic Mn-Ni steel with superior stress corrosion cracking resistance by preparing a steel contg. a specified percentage of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Al, Cu, N and Cr.

CONSTITUTION: A steel consisting of 0.2W0.8% C, 0.1W1.5% Si, 5W12% Mn, 2W 10% Ni, 0.005W2% Al, ≤4% Cu, ≤0.1% N, <0.5% Cr and the balance essentially Fe is prepared. The nonmagnetic stabilization equiv. of the steel represented by 30(C%+N%)+0.5(Mn%+Cu%)+Ni%+1.5Si%+Al% is adjusted to ≥25. To the steel may be added one or more among 0.001W0.002% Ca, 0.001W0.02% Mg and 0.001W0.1% REM and/or one or more among 0.01W1.5% Ti, 0.01W3% Nb, 0.01W4% V, 0.01W4% Zr, 0.01W4% W and 0.01W4% Mo.
