EXAMPLE: 1-[6-(4-fluorophenoxy)-2-pyridyl]-4-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-4-methyl-1-pentene.
USE: Intermediate, especially of an insecticide.
PREPARATION: The compound of formula I can be prepared, e.g. by reacting the ketone of formula II with the aldehyde of formula III in the presence of a condensation agent, and reducing the resultant compound of formula IV in ether in the presence of LiAlH4-AlCl3.
