Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A phthalamidemonocarboxylic acid chloride derivative of formula I(R1, R4 are H, 1W3C alkyl; R2, R3 are H, 1W3C alkyl, Cl, Br).
EXAMPLE: Methyl p-[N-{4-[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-propyl]phenyl}amide]benzoate.
USE: It is used as a starting material for a heat-resistant synthetic resin such as aromatic polyesteramide resin or an intermediate of organic synthetic compounds. Although it is very high reactive, it is stably stored, when the sufficient caution is paid to handlings such as keeping it from water or moisture.
PREPARATION: The reaction of hydroxyhenyl-aminophenyl-propane of formula II with an aromatic dicarboxylic dichloride is effected in an inert organic solvent such as benzene to give the compound of formula I.
