NEW MATERIAL:A platelet-agglutination suppressing substance aglyceride A having the following physicochemical properties; Molecular formula; C18H36O4 (by, high-resolution massspectroscopy). Molecular weight; 316 (by GC-MS spectroscopy), [α]D21=+9.7° (C=0.03, CHCl3). Soluble in acetone, methanol, ethanol, ethyl ethyl acetate, chloroform and benzene and insoluble in water. Neutral fat-soluble monoglyceride. Colorless; etc.
USE: A hypotensor and remedy for thrombosis.
PREPARATION: A microorganism, belonging to the genus streptomyces and capable of producing a platelet-agglutination suppressing substance aglyceride A, B or C [preferably streptomyces spiecies OM-3209 (FERM P-8427)] is cultured at around 27°C and acidic W neutral pH for 1W8 days by submerged aeration cultivation.
