PURPOSE: To stably provide a grid body having high quality by arranging molten metal pouring holes having the same number as the number of cross-pieces of the grid body in the rotating direction of the drum from the pouring hole adjacent to the inner side thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The molten metal 12 is continuously supplied into carving part 3 on the surface of the rotated cylindrical mold (drum) 1. Then the molten metal 12 is solidified to form the grid body 5. In a nozzle 11 used for this grid body, the number of pouring holes 6 for supplying the molten metal 12 is made the same as the number of cross-pieces 9 of the grid body 5 and each pouring hole 6 is arranged in the rotating direction of the drum 1 from the pouring hole 6 adjacent to the inner side thereof. At the mutually faced positions from both end parts on the circumferential surface of the drum 1 carving the grid body shape at least to frame pieces 91 on the circumference of the grid body carving part 3, air venting work 10 is applied. By this method, the grid body having little defect of burr and blow hole, etc., can be supplied with the continuous casting.
