PURPOSE: To freely product metal powder having the prescribed particle size by forming a gas injection hole of a nozzle producing metal powder to the specific structure by blowing molten metal with gas and making variable of injection angle of the injection gas.

CONSTITUTION: The molten metal is flowed down from dropping hole 2 of a nozzle body 1 and inert gas is injected from a gas injection hole 3 and scattered to produce metal particle. In this case, a part of inner peripheral wall 5 forming the gas injection hole 3 of the nozzle 1 is separated from the nozzle body 1 as making fittable/detachable and as fitting movable upward/downward, and some kinds of inner peripheral wall parts 5 having different tapered angles of the inner peripheral wall face 5a are separately prepared. Further, outer peripheral part 8 forming the annular gas injecting hole 3 is made to fix as fittable/detachable from the nozzle body 1, and also two concentric annular gas chambers 11, 12 are arranged between this outer peripheral wall part 8, and the nozzle body 1 and the inner peripheral wall part 5, and the passage 13 to tangential direction communicating both gas chambers 11, 12 is arranged. The angle of the gas injected to the molten metal flow is freely adjusted and the metal powder having desired particle size can be produced.
