Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the breakage of the portions of fuel rods of a PWR fuel assembly supported by support lattices due to the abrasion with the support lattices or a foreign object hooked on the support lattices.
CONSTITUTION: A fuel pellet unfilled section 10 is formed apart from the portion filled with fuel pellets 6 at the supported section 5 of fuel rods 1 by support lattices 2 in a PWR fuel assembly converged with many fuel rods 1 by many support lattices 2.
