Abstract:
To provide an oil pump apparatus capable of restraining a decrease of a pump discharge pressure by reducing the quantity of air accumulated in an intake passage even if a suction opening is opened to the atmosphere.
An intake circuit for sucking oil necessary for a transmission for a vehicle from an oil storage includes a proximal end segment extended from a pump body, an intermediate segment extended upward from the proximal end segment and a distal segment extended downward from the intermediate segment. The volume in the distal segment is made smaller than the volume of a space formed in the pump body.
