Abstract:

To obtain a halogen-free olefin resin composition which well meets balanced properties of flame retardance, aging resistance, flexibility, moldability, and the like, to be required for a covering material of automotive electric wires.

The olefin resin composition comprises (A) a propylene polymer having a melt flow rate of ≤5, (B) a polymer to be selected from (B1) a thermoplastic styrenic elastomer, (B2) a thermoplastic styrenic elastomer modified with an acid component, (B3) a mixture of (B1) and (B2), (B4) a rubber modified with an acid component, and (B5) a polyolefin modified with an acid component, and (B6) a mixture of a polyolefin with (B5), (C) a metal hydroxide or a mixture of the metal oxide and a metal hydroxide surface-treated with a fatty acid, and (D) a nitrogen-containing compound.
